A Maggie update...

To those who were wondering how Maggie is settling in, she is doing great! She has really come out of her shell. At times she is leary of Steve, but mostly comes to him with her tail wagging especially if a treat is involved! She runs circles around Duke when they play ball and she bays like only a beagle can when she catches the scent of another animal. At night she jumps into the air to catch a bug, or pounces like a cat on a mouse when she sees one on the ground. She bounces forward when she barks her alarm call and thinks that the pigs are fun to bark at. They seem to think it's fun because they 'bark' back and then run off kicking and squealing, only to come back to the fence and repeat the process again, LOL! She is still learning that my carpets are not a place to potty; we keep all the doors shut to the bedrooms. She is kennel trained so we get to sleep through the night now. She loves to snuggle in the bed with you, but we can't let her sleep all night in them just yet much to the kids dismay. She is getting along great with the big dogs. Perdi (whom I was worried about accepting Maggie) has explained in her own way that unlike Duke, she will not tolerate Maggie jumping up in her face as a part of playing. Here she is with Duke.
