Someone sent this video to me recently. Thought it fitting for Veteran's Day to share it.

A big Thank You to all of our Veteran's and Military Servicemen and Women, including my husband, my Father, my Grandfather and Father-in-law- both whom have passed on, my Aunt, my Brother, my sister's Father, and those that I am unaware of, but missed. Thank you for your service. Thank you for your sacrifice. May God Bless you all.

The Vietnam Memorial Wall...

The 'Dignity' Memorial Vietnam Wall is a 3/4 scale replica of the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial in Washington, D.C. . It gives many veterans who are unable to make the trip to D.C., the chance to visit the wall near their home town. We found out this week that it was coming to Baton Rouge and it would be here over Veteran's Day! I've actually been to the wall in D.C., but this one is just as amazing.

On our way we talked to the kids about what the wall was and what is represented. They got to touch and see the names there. They also got to get up into a tank, shake hands with older vets and thank them for their service, write cards to service men and women who are away from their families, and see their dad get a medalion for his service in the Navy.

They really seemed to understand the importance that it held for so many and I'm glad that it was able to come to our town and that so many were able to see it.
