Dirt and Sand...

I ordered sand for the pool yesterday so that we could level it out. It was too low at one side and we needed to fix it. So I got 8 yards brought in and dumped. It should be pretty easy to deal with. I think we are also going to add a little rocky border around the pool so that we can attempt to keep the grass out of the water and keep it from around the pool.

While I was at it, I also decided to order the 'river silt' that we needed for the new shed that we are going to build for the horses. 15 yards of that is sitting right in front of where I need it. I am now in the process of moving it a wheelbarrow load at a time to where I want it...this is going to take me forever! I did 8 loads yesterday and was pooped! Good grief!

I am going to call the Triple A rental place and see what a little front end loader would cost to rent for the weekend....

Well I did call them and it's $120-$150 to rent one for the day....not bad really since I sure don't want to move all this by hand. Although he did say that we could pick it up after 1pm on Saturday and don't have to return it until Monday at 9am...not a bad deal doing it that way since we'd have it for almost 2 days then....hmmmmm. I'll have to talk to Steve about it. We could make quick work of moving the dirt and sand with one of those.
