French....

I can see I'm going to have a little difficulty with this language. I've taken Latin (YUCK!), Sign Language (really need to brush up), Spanish and now we're on to French. I'm not fluent in anything but English...hopefully I will be able to gain some fluency through studying and teaching the kids.

The kids decided to take French. I'm not sure why...I tried to rally hard for Italian. I really want to learn it and may have to start studying myself. Maybe they picked it because Steve took French in high school...who knows. I have lots of french books here. I was able to get some french language tapes, books, and Cd's for free from a lady who had just moved back to the US from France. Her kids had used them while there. The kids love the French songs CD and Britney has already got half of the song "The More We Get Together" down. I'm glad we bought her a radio for her room a couple of years ago. She has a habit of listening to things over and over and over and over! We did purchase the Rosetta Stone French program. We love it and it's making learning even easier since you can hear someone say the words.

We'll see how this endeavor goes.
