Nauvoo, IL...

After visiting Carthage, we drove up to Nauvoo. We stayed in a restored log cabin. The kids found it very cool. We visited the many historic sites, saw the temple and all the beautiful flowers everywhere, took part in a 1 mile handcart trek, and took a wagon ride around the town. We enjoyed skipping rocks on the Mississippi and eating frozen custard at Annie's (a must do while there....try the lemon custard with raspberry sauce. Oh. My. Goodness! It is very good!).

Working the Printing Press
Making rope in the Cultural Hall. We saw how they made candles, bread, rugs, pots, etc.
