The new shelter...

We put the new shelter up yesterday after the soccer games. I actually went together quite easily with just Steve and I working on it. I was quite surprised and we are pleased with it. Charmer has went inside and eaten the hay I left in there. He even tried to bit the tarp and I had to quickly pop him. Pedro...well he's not so sure and I haven't seen him in it.
It's 12'w x 20'l x 8'h. Quite roomy for the two of them and at a 3rd of the price of building a permanent structure way more affordable.

The kids and I noticed yesterday that one of the stations on the radio has started playing Christmas music. We love it! I know people hate that and I don't like all the Christmas stuff in stores since the beginning of last month, but we listen to the Christmas music on and off through the year...we just love it, LOL!

Oh and look at what I picked up yesterday while on my way to pick up pizza for dinner:

She is so sweet, a young one, and was going to get hit on the road she was trying to cross. She came right up to the truck and sat staring at me and wagging her tail. I couldn't leave her there and Steve didn't say a word about it when I told him. He wouldn't have been able to leave her there either. I opened my back door, she jumped right into the truck, found an empty seat and sat right down ready to go! By the time I got home with the food and dog, she was sprawled out, fast asleep on the back seat, laying her head on the kids soccer bags. :-)

I'll put an ad in the paper tomorrow and a sign at the road where I found her. She must be someones pet. She does know some commands, was fairly clean and shiney, no collar (that's one of ours on her), and not really thin or anything. She also seems to be house trained and knows about doggy beds!
