Letterboxing again!

We were going to head out to the corn maze today since it was so beautiful out, but I couldn't get anyone to call me back to make an appointment so hopefully we'll be able to go on Monday morning. The kids were a bit bummed, but we decided instead to go letterboxing. Then the kids were excited again.

We picked two spots to search and found both boxes! We had lunch at Fleur de Lis Pizza. This little hot-pink art-deco 1940's building has been in the business of Roman style pizza for over 50 years now. The pizza was good too! We got a large 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 cheese (pineapples on the side for B) and there was only a small piece left after the three of us devoured it! B ate four pieces and she said she wasn't hungry when we got there! Then we headed off downtown to Frosty's for a rootbeer float. That was soooo yummy! B and I shared one and J just had an ice cream with chocolate syrup.

Then it was off to the Old State Capitol to burn off some energy and take a few rolls down the huge hill that it sits on! What kid can resist that...heck I almost did it myself if it weren't for the construction crew watching us! I just couldn't do it, LOL.
We headed off to find our next letterbox at the Old Arsenal near the State Capitol building. I have told the kids that you can actually go to the top of the building and lookout over the city. We did that today and they just thought it was: "Soooo Cool!". J said, "I can see the whole world from up here!" Well not the whole world, but much of the city, buddy!
