My poor pup!

Quit laughing mom! Where's the treat you promised?!

I came home from church on Tuesday night to see that my Sophie had a huge snout! We're not sure what she got into or what got her, but her little face just swelled up and she sounded like a little Pug trying to breathe. Poor girl. I called the Vet and they recommended Benadryl, which I had and was going to give her, but I couldn't remember the dosage. By morning, just the back right side of her muzzle was swollen. I didn't find a little spot where she got stung or anything, so we're not sure what happened.

Puppy update...

My Sophie isn't so little anymore. She probably tops out at 40 lbs right now. She loves running with me while I roller blade and will go all day if I could. She very much prefers sleeping in human beds than the comfy doggy bed I bought for her...I found her in one of Little Man's twin beds this morning. She is my truck dog. Loves to go everywhere with me. The lady at Tractor Supply loves her and suggested at leaving her there with her while I continued to run errands and that I could pick her up later, LOL! I just laughed and said nope...because she wouldn't be there when I returned and the lady just smiled and laughed! She even had Sophie up on the counter so she could love all over her. Of course that dog just ate it up and all the treats the woman kept giving her, LOL. She seems to like my laundry too...I found her on Monday snuggled up in the socks that I had just brought in from the line.

Jack is well...Jack. He's a nut. He is also moody. He's always busy doing something and never slows down. He loves food. He's bossy and opinionated too for being so darn little. He also loves to be pet and loved on. He tops in at a whopping 16 pounds...he needs a couple more. I don't know if I ever said...but Steve had wanted to name him Tank...um, I just couldn't see it, though it was funny. But 'Jack-Jack' came to me instead and with the recent passing of my Papa Jack this year that may have been why...the name fits him to a 'T' though and he reminds me of my Grandpa's personality.

Look what followed me home yesterday!

I had to go to our local little pet store to get dog food and such...My friend works there and she runs our local little shelter for our town...we don't have a facility, she mainly takes them in, or some of us foster and she keeps them at the store (where they get adopted all the time because they're seen and get attention).

Anyways....she was there sitting in a van talking to a lady when I walked up. She called me over and had me take a look at the two most pitiful looking puppies I've ever seen. The lady had almost run over one of them and stopped to pick her up. Then out walks the little black fella from the woods. She couldn't leave him there. One looks to be a long haired doxie-a little intact male and the other is definitely a weimeraner. She is just beautiful. I think hubby loves her! I offered to foster them and bring them soon to the adoption days on the weekend so that we can find them a home. I think I'll keep them here to gain some serious weight and then take them up. I just don't know if they'll both be making it up there! LOL!

Who couldn't resist this face?!

You can see how thin she is. She won't stay still for two seconds! Her little pal is just as thin, although not as bad being that he's a smaller fella.
